With Much Regret

Sitting in silence, I listen to the inner thoughts of my own desires dreams and aspirations dashed as hope turns to dust caught in the winds of change

With Much Regret

Sitting in silence, I listen
To the inner thoughts of my own desires
Dreams and aspirations dashed as hope turns to dust
Caught in the winds of change

Shall I lose hope in the future
As I walk the lonely streets alone
Cold and barren wastelands
Paved with steel, brick and stone

Collided with thoughts of confusion
I stand within the haze
A cold mirrored reflection of
Who I was just yesterday

The maple towers over see
The feelings of us all as we move upon the way
Down lonely streets I travel hidden in the haze
Feelings of despair leave me breathless
As the wind whispers in my ear
Shed a lonely single tear
