Within Our Hearts

To listen to the views
Of those with all the power
Who believe that it's our right?
To take the fight towards our neighbours
As the planet slowly turns

Hasten to these words I speak
Beneath the clouds as they may leak

Many nations we may be
Beneath the shade of cooling trees
Within our hearts we are the same
Human by any other name

Beneath the setting sun
Why is it in our nature to tear ourselves apart?
Within this world, where there is so much heart

For a lover feels with heart
And a dreamer, dreams of hope
Within our hearts where all our hopes and dreams reside
Beneath the stars that shine
