Would My Thoughts Be Enough

Quicken thoughts upon the endless ocean
As I wipe the waters from my face
Mirrored reflections of lost yesterdays
Mark the lines upon the dusty pages
For the world I used to know

If I drink from a paper cup?
When I'm down on my luck
Will the light of love fade?
If I turn and walk away

Would my thoughts be enough
With the choices that I've made
As I look upon the endless ocean
Shall I Surrender to the crashing waves

To the Distant Sounds of thunder
As the world slowly turns,
I shall watch as the fires burn
As we move throughout the night

There no need for telling fables
Lay your cards upon the table
There's no reason to get burned
For the lesson that you've learned
Would my thoughts be enough
When it comes to making up
