Wouldn't Life Be So Simple

If we could find a way
To heal the turmoil within
In the modern world today
Then the reason for our conflicts
Would simply fade away
And peace and harmony
Would follow us through
Every day of our lives

And the tensions that burden us
Would be lifted
Wouldn't the heartache fade
As the world became a better place
And if we look to the horizon
Would our futures in our sights

Because if love could be the guiding light
That leads us on our journey
As we move forward in our lives
Then wouldn't life be so simple
If we didn't have all the fighting
That plauges the world today
